Use of the Synoptic Maps as a new support :

- Specific characterization of CMEs is possible.

An automatic method :
- Detection based on objective criteria.
- Fast detection process.

- Signatures of CMEs are very often superimposed on the streamer belt and sometimes create discontinuities in it.
- Most of CMEs present characteristic signatures : conspicuous vertical, narrow streaks.

- Our Automatic Detection Method consists in extracting the signal of CMEs from the synoptic maps and involves four steps.
- Detection is computed on synoptic maps built from 3 up to 5.5 solar radii per step of 0.5 solar radius.
